You pay nothing when you submit a project. Work begins only after the project has been accepted and the start fee has been paid. The start fee is your first payment toward the agreed total service price - it is deducted from the remaining balance and is not an additional charge. Refunds and withdrawals are subject to applicable mandatory consumer rights, described below. The remaining balance is the total minus the start fee and is due after you approve the finished work, and the full-quality files are released as soon as that payment is confirmed. All prices are shown in USD. Any applicable taxes are calculated based on the information provided at checkout and are clearly shown before you confirm payment.
Three revisions are included with every service. A revision counts as used when a new revision is sent to you. Unused revisions cannot be transferred to another project or refunded.
Once the included revisions have been used, any further revision is charged per revision at the additional revision price for your service. Additional revision work begins once the payment is confirmed.
A revision covers adjustments to the existing mix or master - balance, levels, tone, dynamics, effects and similar changes to the material already delivered. New stems, a re-arranged or re-produced version of the song, added instrumentation, or a change of creative direction is new work rather than a revision, and is quoted separately.
Revision links are for review only. Final, full-quality files are delivered after the remaining balance has been paid. Please keep your own backups of your source material - files are not stored indefinitely.
Services are mixing, mastering, stem mastering and the combined mixing & mastering package, as described on this site. A project is submitted through the booking flow and becomes binding once it has been accepted and the start fee has been paid. Prices are those shown at the time of submission and are snapshotted onto your order, so later price changes never affect an existing project. There are no customer accounts - your order is reached through the unique secure link emailed to you.
You are responsible for supplying usable source material: correctly exported files at a consistent sample rate and bit depth, organised as described in the booking flow, along with any reference material and notes needed to understand the brief. Delays or extra work caused by incomplete, incorrect or late material may affect delivery time and may be quoted separately. Please keep your own backups - files are not stored indefinitely.
You keep all rights in your music. By submitting material you confirm that you own it or are authorised to submit it for mixing or mastering, and that doing so does not infringe anyone else’s rights. Your files are stored privately, used only to carry out your project, and deleted according to the retention periods in the privacy policy. Any use of a finished track as a portfolio or promotional example is only with your permission.
If you buy as a consumer (a private individual acting outside a trade or profession), you generally have 14 days from entering into the agreement to withdraw from a distance purchase of services, without giving a reason.
Because work usually starts sooner than that, you are asked at checkout to expressly request that the service begins during the withdrawal period. That request is never pre-ticked and is stored with your order together with a timestamp. If you then withdraw after the work has begun, Widing Group AB may be entitled to a proportionate amount for the part of the service already performed, provided the legal requirements for this are met. If the service has been fully performed, the right of withdrawal may cease, where you expressly consented to the service starting and acknowledged that the right would be lost once the service was fully performed. Work having started does not by itself remove your statutory rights.
To withdraw, use the online withdrawal form or email steerner@live.com. You receive an email acknowledgement. Any amount that may not lawfully be retained is refunded to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of the request.
If you cancel before any work has started, the remaining balance is not charged. If you are a consumer and you validly withdraw after work has begun at your express request but before the service has been fully performed, payment and refund handling follows applicable mandatory consumer law, including any amount properly attributable to the work already performed. Where the legal requirements are met, the statutory right of withdrawal may cease once the service has been fully performed. Statutory withdrawal rights are separate from rights concerning a defective or non-conforming service, and nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies to consumers only. Orders placed by a company or other business (for example where a company name or VAT number is given at checkout) are B2B and are governed by the cancellation terms above and the rest of these terms.
If the delivered work does not conform to what was agreed, tell us and it will be put right. Statutory remedies under Swedish and EU law apply in addition to the included revisions described above.
Work is delivered with professional care, but mixing and mastering involve creative judgement and no specific commercial outcome is guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, liability for any single project is limited to the amount you paid for that project, and does not extend to indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Swedish or EU law.
A project may be declined or ended if the material infringes third-party rights, if the brief falls outside the agreed scope, if a payment is not completed, or in the case of abusive behaviour. When a project is ended, customer access may be revoked and stored files and project data are handled in accordance with the retention periods described in the Privacy Policy. Transaction and accounting records are retained where required by law.
